In an act of supreme irony, the US, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Britain have said the forces of disruption “will not be allowed to condemn Libya to chaos and extremism”.
The G20 summit in Brisbane, Australia, in November made good TV: Russian President Putin as the naughty boy isolated by the other 19 countries, which took it in turns to call him names, forcing him to leave early. But it wasn't like that at all.
NATO military exercises including British troops are due to take place in Ukraine in July. This is a dangerous move that will inevitably escalate an already tense situation.
