Since Article 50 was invoked it is even clearer that there are only two possible outcomes. Britain must strike out for self-reliance, real independence, real sovereignty, or be dragged back into the EU’s coercive rule. What does this mean for us? Come and discuss. All welcome.

Already, by voting Leave, we have weakened the EU bloc. Brexit brings the opportunity to kill off some of the EU’s military ambitions and enhance peace in Europe and the world. Come and discuss. All welcome.

Loss of sovereignty, privatisation, TTIP, attacks on wages, threats to peace – the EU has been a disaster for Britain, for the working class, and for trade unions. Make sure the real voice of British workers is heard. Come and discuss. All welcome.

Wednesday 25 November 2015 19:30

CPBML Public Meeting, Wednesday 25 November, 7.30pm

Brockway Room, Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL

Capitalism is wedded to the anarchy of the market. Socialism is about planning to meet the needs of people and nations – and in the past it has been spectacularly successful. Come and discuss how a planned approach can help rebuild Britain. All welcome.

Tuesday 22 September 2015 19:30

CPBML Public Meeting, Tuesday 22 September, 7.30pm

Brockway Room, Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL

Over the past 50 years and more, Britain’s ruling class has battled to enmesh Britain in the European Union. With the euro in meltdown, come and discuss why Britain can only thrive outside the EU, and what Britain needs to do to retain its integrity, sovereignty and unity as an island of labour. All welcome.

After the election – the next steps for workers

Thursday 11 June 2015 19:30

CPBML Public Meeting, Thursday 11 June, 7.30pm

Bertrand Russell Room, Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL

The Conservatives are in office, but the tasks facing British workers remain essentially the same: we are going to have to fight for our survival as a nation and as a class. Only Marxist thinking can help us here. Come and discuss the strategy and tactics of working class renewal. All welcome.

Science for the people: Away with superstitions

Wednesday 4 March 2015 19:30

CPBML Public Meeting, Wednesday 4 March, 7.30pm

Bertrand Russell Room, Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4R

The forces of reason are under attack. The assault on progress is coming from all sides – religious reaction, quasi-religious environmentalist fringes, and all those in power who fear the strength of scientific thinking. Science must be reclaimed by the people for what it is: a force for progress.

Come and discuss – all welcome.

The Sovereign Suite, Cosmopolitan Hotel, Lower Briggate, Leeds LS1 4AE

From all sides workers are told things will be better if we split our country into ever smaller units. Yet at the same time we’re told that we can’t live outside the European Union.

Come and discuss. All welcome.

One world – divided by class

Wednesday 14 January 2015 19:30
CPBML Public Meeting, Wednesday 14 January, 7.30pm

Bertrand Russell Room, Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL

We live in a world where workers now constitute the majority. And as workers we face the same enemy, a capitalist class which has claimed for itself the raw materials and the means of production, distribution and exchange. Migration is no solution. Neither are aid and charity. In each country ruled by capital, workers must settle accounts with their own ruling class if the world is to have a future.

Come and discuss. All welcome.

Tuesday 4 March 2014 19:30

Bertrand Russell Room, Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London WC1R 4RL. Nearest tube Holborn.

Some people say class is dead. Or that there are too many to count. Really? The CPBML says there are only two classes in Britain – workers and capitalists – and that an understanding of class is central to any analysis of modern Britain. Come and discuss. Everybody welcome.
